How to Manage Diabetes???

Diabetes is a disease that is being seen in a large number of populations today. My father-in-law is a diabetic, I knew that. A few days back I got to know that my aunt got a check up done and her blood glucose levels were too high and she is a diabetic now. She feels tired and nauseous all day which is a pain to watch. My father-in-law also feels tired when his sugar levels go high. Today, my mother-in-law and I went to the market and we met one of her friends there. She asked aunty why she has been out of touch and she told us that she was not well and after check-ups it was found that she was suffering from diabetes.

Today when I went to the doctor for my mother-in-law’s eye check-up, we found out that her number of spectacle has been increasing very fast. We asked the doctor why it was happening. He explained that this happens only when you have high blood pressure and also if you are a diabetic. We came home. We have a device at home that checks your sugar and we checked hers. Thankfully she is ok and not suffering from diabetes. Now tomorrow we will go for her blood pressure check-up. In the past few days I had been hearing a lot of diabetes cases and that made me write something about it.

I am not a doctor and do not know too much of medical science but with my experience at home, I want to share a few things:

1. Buy a machine that will help you check blood glucose every day. That ways you would know when you need to keep a check on your diet.

2. Avoid potatoes and rice.

3. No sugar. Sugar-free items aren’t good, if you think you can replace normal sugar by that. Just remember, you will not take sugar in any form.

4. Keep a check on physical exertion. But do take a walk in the morning or evening to keep fit.

5. Follow the diet chart that your doctor has advised and stick to it.

6. Take your medicines as and when told by your doctor. Do not be careless.

7. Smoking is not good for people suffering from diabetes.

8. When blood glucose rises, swelling can be seen on your body. So, take care if you see any kind of swelling or any other symptoms.

The health and fitness industry has exploded in popularity in the recent years. Getting a healthier and fitter body is going to take dedication and some hard work to get the results desired. In this article I will give some advice on the proper exercises to do and touch on the proper diet that should be consumed.

Resistance is going to be a major factor in transforming the shape of the human body. Lifting weights or performing bodyweight exercise will both produce excellent resistance, that will build rock solid muscle mass. If you choose to lift weights for your resistance-building regime, make sure you are comfortable with whatever weight you may choose. Working with a weight that is too big of a load, will allow improper form and injury to become a major factor. Trust me, the last thing you want is to be sidelined, because you were using a weight that you weren’t conditioned for. It is important as you lift the weight or perform bodyweight exercises, to always have the proper form and the movement should be controlled and steady. After the first session of a workout program, your body the next day will be sore and likely hurt badly. No need to worry, because this is how your body should feel after an intense muscle building workout program. Regardless of which path you choose, adding resistance will make you lifestyle a lot more healthier than it was prior to not doing it.

Cardio is often overlooked, however it is a very important in order to achieve a healthier and fit lifestyle. There are many ways cardio can be done such as, jogging, running, walking, jumping rope, riding a bike, and the list could go on and on. While starting a new cardio program, I would at first shoot for about 15 or 20 minutes of cardio every other day and 35 or 40 minutes should be your goal to try and reach. By incorporating cardio into your workout program, you will notice rather quickly the pounds start to fly off and people will start commenting on your brand new look. Cardio is a pretty tough exercise to stick with, because of how intense it can be. For beginners your lungs will be working overtime to try and pump enough oxygen into your working body. This is not a desired feeling for most humans, but stick with cardio and you soon will look forward to every cardio session.

The most underestimated aspect of getting a healthier body is, the diet plan that most of have become accustom to over the years. Cutting out the unhealthy sweets and other fatty snacks at first is, going to seem like an impossible mission. Overtime it will become a lot easier to say no to these unhealthy foods. Add more fruit and veggies to your diet and eat as lean as meats as possible. Wonderful lean meats are fish, skinless chicken breast, venison or other wild game meats you have access to, turkey breast, and egg whites. Avoid eating at fast food places as much as you possibly can. Making your own healthier lunch will be much more satisfying in the long run. Eating wheat flour instead of white flour is, another great tip you may want to use.

Stress is a matter of how our body reacts to certain things or situation. Suprisingly, after reading some good health books, i've finally figure out how to fight stress in an easy manner.

First, start by your surroundings, nature is the best way to cope up with stress. You can either do this by just having a green places like garden or a small plant at home or work. In this way, it catches our attention and give us a mental break and we can release some of our bad feelings. This gives us a relaxing feeling when reminiscing some beach moments with friends and family.

Chewing gum effect can also fight stress. According to Mark Liponis, M.D., author of Ultralongevity: The Seven-Step Program for a Younger, Healthier You, rhythmic and repititive actions like chewing gum trigger our body's natural relaxation response, calming our heart rate, breathing and brain activity.

Clenching fist for five seconds can also give us an instant relaxation from stress this is because when our muscles tenses so much, it ables to de-tense completely, says Kenneth Pelletier, Ph.D., co-author of Stress Free for Good.

Try singing out, Lois Levy of Undress Your Stress: 30 Curiously Fun Ways to Take Off Tension explains in his book that when we sing, we're breathing deeply and this lowers the body's blood pressure and heart rate, thus giving us way to relax from stress.

There are a lot of ways to fight stress but in the end we are all responsible for every tension that we made to ourself as we respond to our daily challenges. Take time to give yourself a breath and give yourself an importance of life, in this way we can achieve a good healthy life.
